The chamber built as an upper floor (aliyah) above Sha'ar HaNitzotz, on the north wall of the Azara, where the kohanim keep watch. Middot 1:5 describes this aliyah without naming it; Tamid 1:1 counts the Beit HaNitzotz among the watch posts of the kohanim and makes it an aliyah: the tour identifies the two.
