At the lots, in the east of the Azara, north of the altar, the deputy stands at the Kohen Gadol's right, the head of the father's house at his left. He shakes the urn and draws the two lots, one in each hand. If the one for the Name comes up in his right, the deputy tells him: “My master the Kohen Gadol, raise your right”; in the left, the head of the house tells him.
