Project decisionAdopted: a niche in the western face of the kevesh, as read by the Rambam (Beit HaBechirah 2:14) and Bartenura (Middot 3:3). Set aside: Rashi, who puts it in the paving of the Azara, west of the kevesh, in the corner it forms with the altar (on Pesachim 34a); the Raavad, who distinguishes the window from the revuva, and whom Boaz (Middot 3:3) reads as a hollow at the top of the kevesh. Choices of the tour: its position, 12 amot from the altar, and its height, 2 amot above the ground.
