The Golden Chains of the Ulam

Golden chains fixed in the beams of the ceiling of the Ulam and hanging in the air. Young Kohanim would grab hold of them and climb, to go see the crowns that Zechariah has kept “as a memorial in the Sanctuary.” Bartenura places these crowns at the windows of the Heikhal — they are not modeled here.
