A golden tablet donated by Queen Helena, “on which the parasha of the sota is written”: the Kohen follows it when writing the sota scroll (Yoma 37b). The tour places it on the gold of the east wall of the Ulam, on the north side.

Project decisionTour's choice: the Mishna does not say where the tablet was; the tour sets it on the gold of the east wall of the Ulam, on the north side. According to Reish Lakish in the name of R. Yannai (Yoma 37b), it bore the parasha only in abbreviated form, “בְּאָלֶף בֵּית,” and the Kohen writes “כְּמָה שֶׁכָּתוּב בַּטַּבְלָא.” The engraved lines are decorative and do not decide the question.
