The chamber where the house of Garmu bakes the twelve loaves of showbread, which stay all week on the Table in the Heikhal. They are kneaded and shaped outside, but baked within the sacred area: so the chamber lies in the sacred half of the Beit HaMoked. Each loaf bakes in a mould, and is put back into a mould when taken from the oven so that it is not spoiled.
Dimensions
- south-east corner, in the sacred half
- 6 × 8 amot
- oven, two moulds the size of the loaf (10 × 5 tefachim), table, peel

Project decisionAdopted: baking within the sacred area, according to the first opinion in Menachot 11:2 (Tosafot Yom Tov). R. Yehudah puts all the work of the bread there. Tour's choice: the dimensions of the chamber, the shape of the oven and the placing of the furniture.
